...Dangerous Combination of High Heat and Humidity Continues
Through Monday...
.The hot temperatures and humidity will combine to produce
dangerous heat conditions through Monday, with afternoon heat
index values around 100 to 105 degrees. Minimal relief from the
heat is expected at night with overnight lows only dropping into
the 70s, which will contribute to the prolonged heat stress.

* Timing...Through Monday afternoon.
* Impacts...Heat illnesses due to extended duration of
oppressive heat and humidity.

An Excessive Heat Warning means that a prolonged period of
dangerously hot temperatures and high humidity will occur. This
combination will lead to a dangerous situation in which heat
illnesses are likely. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-
conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check on relatives and
neighbors, especially the elderly.
Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.
To reduce risk during outdoor work the occupational safety and
health administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks
in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by
heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke
is an emergency, call 9 1 1.

* Until Friday morning.
* At  7:30 PM Sunday the stage was 11.8 feet and steady.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring.
* Forecast, Fall below flood stage Friday morning.
* Impact, At  11.5 feet, Moderate Flood Stage. Water affects homes
along old U.S. Highway 61.

alternate route. Turn around, don`t drown.
